Helping the Visually Impaired
visually impairedBlind and visually impaired people benefit from community support. Those who are living with eye diseases and conditions in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, now have support groups. Such residents living in the area can join the Blindness Support Group and meet once a month to learn how to overcome barriers specific to their disability.

"When people go blind — and by that I mean the whole range of vision loss — they feel very isolated," said Jonathan Ice, the group's founder. "They feel like they're the only one going through this.

If you are visually impaired, then San Diego Center for the Blind can help you in several ways. Please contact us to learn more.
