AI Copilot For The Blind and Visually Impaired
At the recent International Consumer Electronics Show, a Swiss company unveiled an incredible, backpack-like device which, when worn by a blind or visually impaired person, guides them safely. With technology similar to that of an auto-drive car, the biped smart harness uses a set of #d cameras to analyze the area in front of the wearer, warn them of potential collisions or hazards, while ignoring objects that do not present a danger. It can connect to the user's smartphone, in part to integrate with GPS. The device weighs about 2 pounds, and is worn in such a way so as to not look out of the ordinary.
