How You Can Help and Ways To Donate
You’ll be Shocked why we Need Your Donations!

Imagine if you broke your leg, and then you found out that your insurance doesn’t cover broken bones.

That’s what happens to every visually-impaired individual who finds themselves in need of vision rehabilitation services, because these services are NEVER covered by insurance.

Yet, vision rehabilitation is critical to every visually-impaired individual. Vision rehabilitation teaches essential life skills such as how to cross the street, dress, and cook as well as how to adjust to the emotional impact of their loss of vision.

The Need for Vision Rehabilitation Services is Growing

Each year we help hundreds of blind and visually-impaired individuals become confident, active, and independent. And the need for our services is growing.

Here’s why:
  • 100,000 adults in San Diego County face vision loss: And the numbers are growing as baby boomers age.
  • Help for the hopeless: We help when traditional eye care has run out of options.
  • Connection to diabetes: It is now known that diabetic eye disease can potentially cause severe vision loss and blindness.
  • Services at no charge: We’re the only community-based program in the area that provides rehab services at no charge to the clients. Free services include:
- Independent Living Skills
- Orientation and Mobility
- Counseling
- Education

We’re committed to filling the gap that insurance leaves by providing vision rehabilitation services at NO charge to visually impaired individuals. Please help us to continue providing FREE vision rehabilitation services by making a donation today!
