Blind Farmer Achieves His Dream
Mike Duxbury became blind at 6 years old due to infantile glaucoma. Being from a family of farmers, Mike was determined from his early childhood years not to let his blindness interfere with his goal of one day becoming a farmer himself.Mike got a degree in agricultural business management from Warwickshire College of Agriculture in 1990. Today, he is not only a farmer, but trains others with disabilities on how they, too, can become farmers.
