In the past, blind people who wanted to sail had to rely on sighted crewmembers. Today, technology allows adaptive sports athletes the ability take to the seas without human assistance. Blind people can do more than just sail, they can race! A new technology, called the Homerus Autonomous Sailing System, enables blind sailors to race without any sighted crew onboard. The system allows people to sail by sound.
