For 12 years, Tim looked for a job. He upgraded his skills and education, learned the latest assistive technology and kept looking. Like many people with a visual impairment, Tim was eager to hold a full time position but due to many factors, was unable to secure a permanent job.Finally, after all these years of searching, he found a position with the Canadian government. In this article, he discusses the difficulties he faced and what is reasonably expected of employers.
