Art forms friendly to touching
A single nail protrudes from an old piece of wood.It has long been taboo to touch pieces of art which leaves people with visual impairments completely unable to experience most art forms. It seems this is slowly changing with museums and galleries offering special showings to allow those with a variety of abilities to enjoy their offerings.
 
This article highlights a visually impaired artist who is creating a space for everyone to enjoy art and a man who created a tactile portrait for him out of nails.
 
It’s inspiring, to say the least.
