Glasses Vs. Contacts During Pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic is changing everyone's life in a myriad of ways. Those living with low vision or vision loss can benefit from taking out their contacts and putting their glasses back on. Doing so can help prevent the spread of the virus. The American Academy of Ophthalmology says it can help you stop touching your face."You rub your eyes, then rub your face, scratch your face, put your fingers in your mouth, put your fingers in your nose," said Dr. Thomas Steinemann, a clinical spokesperson for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. "Some people are not very hygienic and may have forgotten to first wash their hands."
