New innovation could restore sight to the blind

The Journal "Science" has reported that scientists at Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience (NIN)  have developed a brain implant which may restore sight to blind and visually impaired people.

The high resolution implant is placed within the visual cortex of the brain to enable them to recognize shapes and more.
