Many people over the age of 40 experience some form of vision loss. Researchers have discovered a gene that could be responsible. This gene causes a chronic hereditary eye disease which affects night and peripheral vision. There is no cure at this time. Scientists believe that study of the gene will lead to conclusions which bring them closer to healing treatments.
