With a few modifications, most sports can be adapted for the visually impaired. This goes for ice hockey as well. While adaptive hockey has been enjoyed in Canada for several decades, it has only recently been introduced in the United States. The players appreciate having the opportunity to use their athletic ability and are experiencing the benefits of community connection with their teammates at the same time.
