Nearly all of us have been touched by Alzheimer's disease in some way. According to the Alzheimer's Association approximately 5 million Americans have been diagnosed. This number is expected to increase to 16 million by 2050. With Alzheimer's disease as the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States, researchers have been on the hunt for ways to detect the disease earlier. Recent findings indicate that an eye scan can catch the disease before an individual experiences any symptoms.
