Mary Sedgwick was diagnosed with optic neuritis in 1997. The disease causes inflammation of the optic nerve, which leads to vision loss. She always held onto the hope that one day, something would come along that restored her vision. Now, thanks to E-Sight, glasses that magnify and brighten the world, she has a new perspective.

Mary Sedgwick’s vision loss made it so she could not work, but she can now see with 20/10 vision. She recently checked a lifelong dream off her bucket list when she skydived with the Army Golden Knights.
