Visual impairment is increasing at an alarming rate. As our population ages, the numbers will likely continue to go up unless a significant investment is made in the treatment of eye disease. It is believed that investing in research, interventions and remedies makes good economic sense as it creates the opportunity for to return to the workforce. Without treatment, vision loss often correlates with job loss.
